Davidson Thompson aka Nello or Tom was born on September 6th 1941 in Rio-Claro Village, Trinidad West Indies. His parents were Louvina Mitchell Thompson and Elias Thompson. He had 7 siblings including himself, three boys and four girls which are now all deceased. He was the last child in the family of seven. He grew up in Texaco Forest Reserve and attended Forest Reserve Anglican school, after graduation he went to a trade school to become a mechanic. After receiving his certificate he got a job working for Mooman bus company as a mechanic. He left Trinidad in 1960 to join the West Indian Regiment in Jamaica west Indies for two and a half years. He later came back to Trinidad in 1962 after Trinidad had gain their independence. He married Gloria Thomas on October of 1967, who help him to come to New York City. While living in brooklyn New York, he worked as a security guard and later on got a job as a food/nutrition server at Surefront Jewish nursing home where he worked until he retired at a rightful age. He leaves behind 13 children, grand kids, 2 step children and many nephews and nieces and good friends. He was a very free- spirited person, who love life and went after his dreams. He love to be out and about; meeting new people. He love to play cards, gamble and just hang out with friends and family. He will be deeply missed by everyone!!! May his soul rest in peace.
