Clarence Edward Raikes

Clarence Edward Raikes, affectionately called “Raikes or more popularly called J-Tex, of White River, Buff Bay, Portland, Jamaica and 22 Duryea PL. Brooklyn, was born to Bernice Tennant and Edgar Raikes on April 30, 1944.

Clarence was a jovial person who loved to give jokes. He was such a people person that in Flat Bush, near where he lived in Brooklyn he was called “Mayor.”

He is survived by wife, Marmel Raikes, 3 daughters Marcia, Althea and Michell, 2 sons Clarence Jr. and Winston.

8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.

8 brothers, 5 sisters, many nieces and nephews, friends and associates.

God saw you were suffering and called you home. RIP
