He spent most of his childhood growing up in Bushwick and attended Erasmus Hall High School. Jamal persevered over personal life challenges and later achieved his associate degree from Ashworth college.
Acquiring many passions including music, Jamal loved anything that gave him goosebumps, touched his soul, and made him think. The greatest achievement he celebrated was the birth of his cherished daughter A'nyla.
