Jean C. Wilson

October 2, 1935 ~ April 18, 2022 (age 86)

Our beloved Jeanie was born Jean Carol Wilson on October 2nd 1935 in Brooklyn, NY. Jeanie
was the baby of the family of 5 daughters and 1 son. From oldest to youngest, Doris, Clinton
(Bubba), Shirley, Ray, Delores and our dearest Jean last. Jeanie attended Boys and Girls
Highschool in Brooklyn, formerly known as Girls Highschool where she graduated in 1953.
Eager to start her career at 19 Jeanie began to work at the Brooklyn Army Base. However a year
later Jeanie began to experience issues with her mental health which she struggled with tiill her
last days.
Through  out difficult times Jeanie was always surrounded by love from her supportive family
members. Especially her big sister Doris who took care of Jean till the very end. The love and
strong bond between sisters and the immense love of family and togetherness is the reason why
Jeanie held on so long and was able to bless us with her beautiful spirit.
Jeanie was very independent and quick witted. She loved going on her daily walks to run her
errands or dressing up in her own stylish ways. She especially loved her see through stockings.
Despite her illness Jeanie was one of the most genuine souls one can meet. Her personality
always shined through when talking and interacting with her family and friends in the
community. Everyone knew Jeanie as the lady who would not initiate a conversation without
asking you for a cigarette first. In which they never turned her down.
Jeanie loved church and relied heavily on her faith. She kept to herself but was deeply family
oriented. Jeanie especially loved her only son Keith whom she trusted her sister Doris to help
raise as her own. She also had a special bond with nephew Pop as well as her beautiful
granddaughter Jada. Jeanie sadly leaves behind her nieces Joanne, Sharon, Renee, Erica, Alicia,
Jazmine and Carleen. She also leaves behind nephews Dwight, Gregory, Lywan (Pop), great nephews
Anthony Jr, Quincy & Shawn & great niece Tiffany.  Our new angel also leaves an extended amount of family and friends who are present
and no longer here such as her nephews Georgie, Eric and Carl.
