Obituary

Jeanette Spencer, 88 years old, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on  May 3, 2022 of natural causes at Susan Smith McKinney Nursing Home with her husband by her bedside. 
Jeanette (pronouced Janet) was born on Nov 9, 1933 to Peter Lake and Theresa Lucas in Port Of Spain (Belmont), Trinidad and Tobago. She was 1 of 4 children, all sisters (Pearl, Wilma, and Ruby).

Jeanette got married in Port of Spain in 1969 and migrated to Brooklyn, NY in the United States later that year.
Jeanette worked as a production operator for 27 years until her retirement in 1998.
Jeanette loved being surrounded by her family, especially the many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who loved her so much.

She never missed a birthday, a sacrament, a graduation, or a holiday to share love, joy, and gifts. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and listening to Engelbert Humperdinck.
Jeanette is survived by her husband of 53 years to Leo Anthony Spencer of Port Of Spain (Laventille), Trinidad and Tobago, who she has lived with in Brooklyn since 1969. 

She is also survived by her 3 daughters (Bernadette, DiAnne, and Ellenore), her son (Robert) is deceased.
She has 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. 
Jeanette was loved and cherish by the Spencer Family and Smith Family.
