Ralph Clarke was born on September 9, 1940 to the late Whitney Clarke and Victorine Clarke. He was the third child of eight children in Covaden Guyana. During his formative years, he attended St. Mary’s Primary School Soesdyke followed by Teachers Training College in Georgetown Guyana. When the opportunity presented itself, Ralph migrated to the United States to pursue a higher education and build his foundation in the United States, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Baruch College followed by a Master’s Degree from Long Island College University. His business acumen lead to a lucrative career in the Financial Services on Wall Street. Following the stock market crash of 1987, Ralph decided on a less stressful career path and returned to his passion of education. He worked for The NY Board of Education until his retirement in 2008. Ralph’s life on this earth was marked by duty to his family and friends, kind and generosity. His daughters fondly remember him as a kind nurturing and loving father, who doted on his children.
