Robert Price Sr AKA Rab …
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend. Robert was born on March 6, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Charles A. Price and late Mae Alice Brown Price. Born first, he was the oldest of their union, to Juanita and the late Nancy Price Lane, he was not only their brother but their protector.
He attended PS 26 and later went on to Westinghouse HS in Brooklyn NY.
He grew up in Brooklyn in close proximity to many of his cousins and friends, attending school and church together, spending nights and weekends with one another, creating long lasting memories.
He was a kind soul with a smile and laugh that was infectious. Robert never hesitated to help those in need, if he could. Nor did he hold his tongue if his opinion was asked; truly an honest man. Robert was a hardworking man; well hard working is an understatement. He began working at an early age and continued giving his job 110% to the day he left this earth. He worked in security, financial buildings and last but not least embarked on his FDNY journey that spanned 12 years.
In 1991, he met his soon to be wife Dianne Hardy-Price. They would go on to marry in 2000, officially blending their families. Being family oriented, Robert was excited to start his own family and share his knowledge and experiences with his children. He was a very supportive and doting father, any time that was not spent at work, was spent with family.
Robert had an array of interests ranging from music—Motown to be specific— movies, comic book heroes, and reading all the way down to collecting sports memorabilia. He enjoyed bike riding, riding from the Bronx to Brooklyn and BACK!
Robert was called home on June 11th, 2022. Robert is survived by his wife of 22 years Dianne Hardy-Price, his children, Tiffni, Sadri, Robert Jr., Antoine, Kawan, Joel, Tajah, Paul, Tyler, and Amber; his grandchildren Sadir, Tajahnae, Anisa, Kawan Jr, Jayden, Antoine Jr, Adelle and Aiden, his sister Juanita Price, Along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is survived by his paternal uncle, Ronald Price Sr. and Aunt Osheybee.
This Class Act—Robert Price Sr., will be deeply missed by an abundance of cousins, friends and co-workers.
We’ll miss you, until later…Mr. Price sleep peacefully
