Obituary

I’d like to begin by thanking everyone for coming to celebrate Robert A. Ritcher’s life. Robert was one of the most loving and generous people I’ve ever known and I know many of you would agree. He was a man of very few words but always complimented and uplifted others. Robert always maintained a very serene nature and was very easy to talk to.

Robert A. Ritcher was born on September 20th , 1945 in Venezuela. He was the second child of Monica de Pascal and Jose Marcano Richard. His siblings are Col. Joseph, Henrietta, Elena, Gina, Jorge and Jose. Two siblings have already had their homecomings-Franklin and Sammy. He spent his formative years in Trinidad where he finished his Secondary Schooling.

Robert A. Ritcher moved back to his birthplace of Venezuela, where he worked as the Chief Administrator of the Guri Consortium, which was the largest Hydro-Electric plant of its time. He then worked as the Chief Accountant at Baker Sand Control, which was an oil extraction company.

While working in Venezuela, he met and married his wife Rita. He is survived by his wife Rita, and children Roberto, Zulay, Xiomara, Nancy, Maria, Carlos and Robertico, by his Grandchildren, Kayla, Gabriel, Barbara, Sade, Janffer, Camila, Nicole, Lucas, Sarah, Gabriela, Adonis, Jeremy, Jesus, Valeria, Monica; and Great-Grandchildren Mya and Naroma, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews

He then migrated to the United States where he continued his endeavors and had a successful career in the Public Safety Department at Interfaith Hospital until retirement.

Robert was a Dapper Dan, he took meticulous care of himself and his presentation. His hair was combed and patted down to perfection, his clothes were always ironed to a crisp and he always smelled amazing. Robert loved to share his happiness with family, friends and neighbors. He threw the best parties, where everyone felt joyous, and had to get up and dance.

The world is a sadder place without Robert in our lives. But he touched each and every one of us and has left us with memories that we will love and cherish forever. Thank you.
